Gold colour. Aroma is mainly watery with a slight vegetal note. The palate is moderate for style, with a flavour profile similar to the aroma. Finish has a hint of hoppy crispness.

I’m surprised this rates so high. Feed a skunk rice for its entire life, bottle it, and you’d get this beer. No head or lacing.

33cl can. Pours clear light golden with a small white head. Sweet and lightly malty with cooked vegetables aroma. Slightly unpleasant. Not the best alternative in Cambodia. Cheap Asian light lager.

(330ml can, BB 10/2012) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small fizzy white head. Aroma of grain, grass, and minerals. Flavor of corn, minerals, and vegetal with a moderately dry, lightly bitter metallic finish.

A blonde lager with a thin dissipating white head. Aroma of rice adjunct with light solvent notes. In mouth, a sweet solventy malt with malt juice, thin, cloying, not very good. Can from Angkor Market, 0.70$ for 330 ml can.

Can@Hotel. Close to water as are many Cambodian beers. Maybe some mint the finish but even that is just a hint.

Can poured a clear pale yellow with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of bread, yeast and light corn. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of white bread and water with a crisp dry finish.

Can. Gold with short-lasting white head. Sweet corn, cereal grain very sweet aroma. Sticky palate. Sweet flavors again, and sticky. Not very good, with some green apple but not the worst swill either.

Can on a boattrip on Mekong Delta on our way from Vietnam to Cambodia. We just entered Cambodia.. heading for Phnom Penh. Clear yellow - white head. Corn, sweetness, cactus, white bread, drinkable. Very refreshing in 33’C.

Can 33cl, brought back from Cambodia. This was sitting on a roadside stall on the Thai border, could of been quite old but I doubt much would have been lost... Poured a thin, pale straw colour. No head and light carbonation. Weak aroma of tangy fruit, a little hops & yeast. Very watery light taste, slightly rotten taste of vegetables, cabbage etc. Flavour dissolves into watery nothingness. Perhaps a little bitter hoppiness in aftertaste. Thin watery palate with low carbonation. Average if very cold and on a hot day in the east. Makes you glad to be back in the UK. In Cambodia I recommend Beer Lao or Angkor, though both are pretty average.

this is a beer you have to dig for when in cambodia. at least in siem reap, they dont serve it at the tourist destinations, hotels or restaurants. one of the local bartenders told me about and i found it in the market. he said they buy it because its cheap. the beer itself is unexciting and bland. pale lager crisp and refreshing on hot humid cambodian day, some metallic off flavors, could have been the can. HEINEKEN strikes again!
