Pours a dark brownish black with a tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate, toffee and coffee aroma. Coffee, caramel, chocolate, toffee, roasted malt and some hop flavor. Light body for a stout but easy to drink. Dry coffee and malt finish.

Draft at brewery. Lots of chocolate and coffee in the nose. Taste is lightly tart and dry finish. Slightly watery. Just seems a bit light all around from aroma to flavor to mouthfeel. Even for a dry stout

Bomber from the brewery. Pours very dark brown with a bubbly dark tan head. Aroma of herby, dark malt with chocolate. Might be a touch of anise. Med+ body. Flavor is smooth dark malt, very dark chocolate, and some herb/hop it’s hard to pin down. It’s very, very smooth. Drinks well.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber, picked up today at the winery - brewery. Poured dark brown with medium tan head. Nose was a blend of many aromas, spicy chocolate, cola/root beer, nutty....taste was balanced, medium bodied, lively, with a nice long finish. This place is a real find if you are in the area.

Draft @ Gold Hill Brewery. Hugely impressed by this one. Pours a deep, dark-cola color; creamy, fine-bubbled light-tan head with excellent retention and lacing. Incredibly complex nose: leather, dark fruits, cola, chocolate, and just a touch of green apple that does nothing wrong here. Medium body; moderate CO2; light acidity; no show of alcohol. Medium chocolate and cola, with light contributing notes of leather, dark dried fruits, a touch of raisin; hugely aromatic, and way more complex than a stout should be from a brewery no one’s ever heard of. Delicious. Lasting, dry finish of dark chocolate, leather, hints of licorice. Hugely impressed here.
