Thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks old styled but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts intense malty, fine roasty with interesting caramel notes. A bit sourish. Finish more spicy, still intense malty. Great beer!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
It’s dark brown with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, nuts, caramel and the moderately sweet flavor is well balanced and rich with notes of caramel, nuts, roasted malt, hints of dark syrup. The finish in this extremely nice dunkel is slightly dry.

bottle from Rewe Giengen an der Brenz. Hazy deep brown colour, small but creamy beige head. Sweet malty aroma with a yeasty touch. Medium-bodied, lovely malty base with chocolate, caramel and roasetd flavours. Shy hoppy finish and a nice yeasty overall touch that copmplements the caramelly sweetness perfectly round this beer off perfectly. Very smooth and velvety palate. A pleasant surprise - anytime again!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle by 21.09.12. Nose with chocolate and very heavy toffee tones, some nougat and mocha. Deep red-brown/copper body is actually pretty, with a lacing and rocky beige head. Light body with a touch of tang, very low sweet- and bitterness. Emphasis on the toffee and caramel, with a little Werther’s sneaking in behind the faint nuts. The weirdest from Gold Ochsen and definitely my favorite.
