2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
White head, fast gone, over pale golden beer. Very fruity, even estery nose! For a southern German Pilsener, um Himmelswillen! Though more grassy, near-hoppy aromas appear eventually, the esters keep hanging out. Pilsner malt, but with a great initial presence of restsugars, rounded off by some hops. The sweetness, almost corn-like, keep hanging around, and instead of balancing, the different flavours keep wobbling. Light to medium bodied. The aftertaste is saddled with a sticky sweetness. This is, at least, a beer with some dubious balance problems.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
one of the cheapest bottled beers I can get here ... however cheap doesn’t always (albeight mostly) mean "bad" ... this brew is pretty ok, a full bodied lager with a caramel / marshmallow style sweetness ... relatively heavy (5.1% ...) ...

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was the local beer when I was in the U.S. Air Force in Germany. It was strong, somewhat bitter, and satisfying. It was much better than the other local brewery’s product (Munster).

Limpid yellow color, light fizz. Compact and adherent head, discreet resistance. Dry cereal scent, light and simple malty notes. Bitterish taste, watery and little pungent one. Slightly discreetly simple and with little peculiarities.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Bottle 50 cl) Fine, golden pilsener colour with a rather small head. Typical southern style, meaning softer, milder almost sweet in it’s maltyness with the hops being rather subdued. Very pleasant and quaffable but could do with a bit more personality. 270502

I remember this beer leaving a bitter and dry taste in my mouth. I was some what disappointed with its appearance, the aroma did not impress me at all. Its kind of like the red bull of imports.
