bottle. Clear golden yellow, large and creamy head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, intensively malty with a touch of hops. The hop flavours become much more intensive in the finish. Wel-balanced and matured Export.

Golden color with a mighty head. It smells strongly malty spicy, slightly hoppy. Starts spicy malty, with good hop aromas in the aftertaste.

Simple lagery aroma. Crisp carbonation. Some maltiness. Not exciting but drinkable.

Bottled@One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grains, some wood, with mild earthy notes as well as some mild notes of saltwater. Flavour is saltwater, herbs, sourish notes, mild maltyness.

On tap somewhere in Germany. I have a nice glass from this brewery that I got in Germany many years ago. Color was a clear, rich gold. Aroma was pretty light and bland; plale malt with some bread and earth. Flavor was the same; not much going on. Clean, but weak flavors.

Bottle. Sweet corn/barley malt aroma Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet barley malt flavor with moderate grass hops finish. Average Helles - a little too sweet for my liking.

Bottle (thanx to quack-Duck !): Golden, quite stable lacy white head; moderate grainy to strawy nose with a herbal-hoppy tinge; moderate sweet-bitter flavour with a very light acidity, light to medium bodied; strawy-grainy finish with a light bitterness and a light sourness. Not too good...............

(bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a mid-sized frothy white head. Moderately sweet, pale malty, strawy nose with herbal and slightly grassy hops. Light-sweet flavour, strawy malty, slightly perfumed taste with traces of cardboard; moderately sweet and strawy finish with shy bitter hoppy notes and faint herbal spice. Quite boring brew (04.07.08).

The bottle looks like all Gold Ochsen bottles. They could be a little bit more inventiv. The foam is fast collapsing. The beer is really dry, not very balanced. The finish is alcoholic. I didn’t like it.
