Tap at GABF 09. Pours a nice medium to deep amber with a thin lasting sticky off white head. Aroma is big whiskey and bourbon, toasted caramelized oak, some char, medium vanilla- decent caramel malts, and still pretty good hops- citrus, some dank resinous hops, mint and pine- earthy too. Flavor has a bit more whiskey and bourbon heat and caramelized oak than the aroma- still good citrus and pine hoppiness with a resinous and woody finish. A bit too boozy though as it warms. Ok.

On tap at Golden City poured a hazy amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of oak, vanilla, toffee, pine, bourbon and light citrus. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of oak, vanilla, toffee, light bourbon and light pine with a smooth lingering oaky finish.
