Wynkoop Parade of Darks 2011. Dark brown appearance with a light brown head. Fairly roasty, chocolate malty, moderately piney, light grapefruit, earthy hoppy aroma. Flavor is more hoppy with notes of grapefruit, moderate earth, and heavy piney along with a roasty, caramel maltiness.

draft. dank, pungent, cheesy and musty hop nose overwhelms any roast and malt character, which isn’t really a bad thing - it smells great - just that’s all it has going on. taste-wise we’re treated to more of the roast and black patent licorice with a small undertone of caramel chewiness, but it’s really all about the hops: big, resinous, musty and dank. can’t complain too much about that. medium-thick body with buzzing hop acid and a thinning finish.

On tap at Golden City poured a clear dark brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of earthiness, pine, pink grapefruit, toffee,light roastiness, light carmel and light tropiucal fruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of earthiness, pink grapefruit, pine, tangerine, light roastiness and a hint of tropical fruit with a smooth dry lingering fruity bitter finish.
