On tap at Avery Strong Ale Fest poured a clear dark brown with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of coffee, roasted malt, citrus, oak and light barnyard. palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of coffee, roasted malt, oak, citrus and light barnyard with a smooth dry lightly tart linbgering roasty finish.

Tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Deep black appearance with a dark brown head. Deep, roasty, pepper spicy, coffee aroma. Big spiciness at first with strong alcohol and coffee. A little watery and too many complementary flavors. Ok but pretty weird.
