Pours pitch black, thick and dense, which was not penetrated by the mid day Colorado sun. This on was very roasty on the nose, with an almost burnt character, which carried over to the palate; warming, with a nice hoppy finish. A very nicely balanced imperial stout, although by this point in the afternoon the lineup of strong beers was beginning to take its toll on the palate.

Draught. Pours opaque with a small, fizzy tan head, some retention. Aroma is heavy dark chocolate, caramel malt, and moderate hops. Flavor is moderate dark chocolate, nutty and caramel malt, medium hops, creamy and smooth. Full bodied, moderate carbonation.
