Deep amber with a thin head. Light, somewhat syrupy texture with very light carbonation. Bread crust, crackers, nuts and subtle brown sugar. Sticky residual sweetness. Mild bitterness. Burnt toast in the aftertaste. No major problems, but it’s your typical, unexciting and bland-tasting brown.

Cask at GBBF 2011. Dark chestnut brown color. Aromas of leather, chocolate, nuts and soya sauce. Sweet taste of caramel, nuts, milk chocolate and some strawberry like fruitiness. Low bitternss. Very rounded and mellow.

Cask gravity @ GBBF 2011. Pours a hazy amber brown color with a small off.-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel and chocolate flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Cask at GBBF 2011. Brown with a small off-white head. Malty toffee aroma with hints of choclolate and fruit. Dry and malty flavour with spice and pineapple notes.

Unclear medium to dark amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sour berry, wood, moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet, light acidic and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110803]

GBBF. Cask. Light haze on this brown beer. Residual off white head. Light palate, semi dry. Very mild darkish malts with a trace of smoke and roast. Well integrated fruit which are mildly tangy. Nicely joined up.

On tap at GBBF ’11. Smells like a bench. Reasonably bad UK-style Brown Ale. Thin, slightly tart, slightly sick. Not much strength.

Cask at GBBF 2011 ... copper brown ... thin white head ... soft licorice ... woody choc nose ... licorice chocolate dark malts ... bot for me at all ... considering its dark

Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours unclear amber with a small creamy white head. Ashes and fruit. Vaguely tart fruity flavor. Ashes, earth and yeast. Messy!

Cask at GBBF 2011, Wednesday. Brown - offwhite head. Roasted, fruity, red berries, ryebread, nutty, cocoa, light chocolate, raisins, light hoppy, light bitterness.

From cask. Pours hazy dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and breadish. Sweet caramelish, toffee and slight breadish. Sweet, light fruity and slight fruity. Bitter and slight sweet finish.
