Thanks to mlunger for the awesome gift. Dark brown pour, tan head. Aroma is holy crap good. Coconut, bourbon, oak, chocolate, espresso, toffee. Flavor is much the same and bad ass!

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Black! Minimal head. A chocolaty nose is very nice. I taste chocolate chocolate, vanilla, and soy. Brown sugar, too (?). Almost really good.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2012 Bottle @ home. Buffalo Trace barrel. Honestly, both versions have pretty short fills- barely up to the neck of the bomber. Black appearance with a big bubbly, dark brown head with moderate retention. Aroma is more tame than the EW10 version with more toffee and caramel along with some whiskey, vanilla, oak, and rich maltiness. Actually, this one has a pretty nice aroma. Pretty rich toffee, vanilla, caramel, whiskey flavor with some light bitterness and a bit of a hot finish. Rich flavor but pretty tasty. Not nearly as boozy as the EW version. 8//4//8//4//15 (3.9)

(sampled at Dak’s!) Pours dark brown with khaki head. Aroma has some bourbon, dark chocolate. Taste is sweet with some bitterness. Medium bodied with slick texture. Pretty nice beer here.

Bomber poured a translucent dark brown nmearly black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, dark fruit and roasted malt. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a warming finish. Flavors of bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted malt and light fruittiness with a smoth warming lingering bourbon finish.

Danny had better enjoy this one! Bottle courtesy of BradLikesBrew on BA and Mile High Wine and Spirits. Pours a deep dark black. Smells of chocolate and vanilla, Bourbon taste isn’t overwhelming but very present, chocolate and vanilla make it taste like ice cream. Very nice stout.

12/1/10. First to rate! Unlabeled bottle thanks to mlunger! Big whiffs of chocolate, vanilla, cream, and bourbon - it smells like a chocolate malt! Big chocolate, cream, and a hint of bourbon and bitterness - again, this tastes like chocolate ice cream to me! Nice!
