Decent gold color with barely any head. The aroma is an intriguing mix of corn and...orange peels maybe? Wow, quite a bold, smoky taste. Very unexpected. Very smooth, weakly carbonated....seems to be flat halfway through the mug. Not at all bad, I’d drink it again.

Long Island, NY - 1L bottle, poured clear amber with about 1.5 fingers worth of head with a medium amount of lace. Aroma was sweet and malty. Initial taste was sweet with a strange aftertaste that was a malt/hop/metallic. I believe this is what people come back for. I can see how this beer could go with some rotis and dal. Not bad for a beer that has been around for more than 125 years. Cheers! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice beautiful head. Lots of armoa with a hit of smokeyness to it. I taste a little bitterness to it too. Beautiful bright golden color look to it. Because of the smokey smell, it definately will go well with tandoori foods. Pretty good beer to drink for any occassions.

Smell is sour. Taste is slightly rotten. The only redeeming quality was the light bubbly palate. This beer was a disappointment. I could barely finish it, my friend dumped his out.

I’ve had this beer twice in India, and just can’t venture there again. The first time I thought the strange odor and aftertaste was an effect on skunking. The second confirmed this is just a bad bad beer.
