KeefOz (1116) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - JUL 4, 2015
Poured a crystal clear very pale yellow colour with a one-finger white foamy head that diminished slowly to a collar that laced OK. Carbonation high and coarse. Aroma mildly of sweet malts, possible corn; no obvious hops. Taste of sweet malt and grain. Light body, a bit thin. Light, refreshing, sweet and bland. Just another lager.

Can from Archive Beer Boutique 190615. This is very clear in the glass and is the colour of lemon. Mound of foam that is as white as snow dissolves very rapidly to leave a soapy dishwater layer of thin bubbles skimming across the surface. Thin lemon aroma and soapy in the mouth. If you judged this beer on looks alone it would not be a winner. Like everything else about this beer the body is as thin as Pee Wee Herman. When you look at this beer from a style perspective they have pretty much got it spot on. Great looking can, as all Golden Road cans are.

BlackHaddock (4875) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 31, 2015
29th May 2015: US pint on-tap in The Back Bay Tavern (Whole Foods, Newport Beach). Bright and clean looking golden pour, on top nothing, not even the usual fast fading white wispy head most lagers have. Odourless and almost tasteless. Refreshing and fizzy, but a big disappointment to be honest. Could have been any number of similar beers from anywhere in the world.

On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours clear golden with a nice white head and a floral aroma. There is a light pale malt flavor with a watery slightly bitter finish.

Pour on tap at Mendocino Farms, clear golden pour with white lacing head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, cracker, some slight herbal, grassy notes with a hint of lemon. Taste was a mix of grass, bread, spice, hints of lemon, cracker, slight dough, finishing dry. Nice and refreshing!

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2015 12 oz, can from Best Damn Beer Shop. Transparent yellow body with a medium white head. Nose of mild malt and yeast. Bready malt flavor that holds up through a faint floral hops background and some lingering hops bitterness. Nice mouth feel and carbonation. Light, yet tasty and refreshing. A decent, sessionable, lager.

Pour is a bright hazy golden with a large white head. Aroma is a decent pale grainy with a noticeable grassy hop. Flavor is equal parts dry almost pils type malt with a almost lemony hop at the end. This was a very enjoyable lager. Not watery in the least and something beer drinkers of all kinds would enjoy.

Backlog rating. Can at Caspar tasting at Chriso’s, London. Nice crispy lightly bitter lager, with decent grass and grain notes, not too sweet. Overall, decent beer and better than macro lagers

16 ounce sample on tap at blackbird in Sacramento. This was sampled in Mid-September. The aroma has a cereal and light biscuit character. Not much else. Perhaps a little Northern Brewer hop in there. Transparent yellow body with a medium white head present and fair lacing left. Starts with creamy, sweet cereal and biscuit. Has a really nice mouthfeel and carbonation throughout. Just a really solid, chewy lager. Hops are non-existent. Very sessionable decent stuff.
