Nice play on Golden Roadís Gettup Offa That Brown. Had it at Blue Palms, and really enjoyed how delicately the bourbon essence mixed with the brown ale. I hope they make it again, but iíve been told it was a one off.

Cask. Pale brown pour, with an off white head. Mostly bourbon essence flavor, nuts, and caramelized sugar. Kind of boozy, but light. Light body, its decent and different.

Kind of a light color for a brown ale, a bit of off-white head. Nose is all booze. There is some actual bourbon to it, but mostly itís just the heat of the liquor. Mild vanilla and sweet malt. The flavor is a bit better with some caramel and toffee sweetness, a bit of vanilla, and maybe some wood and bourbon. Still kind of boozy, though, and the base beer is rather drowned out. Was not a fan of this one.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Blue Palmís Grand Reopening. Pours with a hazed brown hued body with a tan head that fades. Aromas are of barrel, brown sugar, tannin, marzipan, tons of oak, vanillin and barrel. Light nutty and earthy character with some toffee notes. Mostly clean yeast wise on the aroma. Flavors are of brown sugar, light tannin, lighter bourbon character than the aroma, mild esters, maple. Somewhat fresh oak like in its tannin contribution. Mouthfeel is a bit thin with medium carbonation.
