This is not a kolsch. And there is no such thing as an American kolsch. Not fruity light hoppy off in style. Not a bad beer but not a kolsch.

This beer is a watery, bland, and poor excuse for a Kolsch. It doesn’t possess the crispness in the finish needed to be a Kolsch style of beer. If you want to try something that is actually close to a Kolsch, try Ballast Point’s Pale Ale or an actual Kolsch. Once again this brewery never ceases to amaze at its low attention to making quality beers. It should be ashamed to call itself a craft brewery.

16 oz can from store in LA. This is actually decently hoppy for a kolsch. very drinkable. i would take it over a macrobrew can anyday. very sessionable.

Decent, on tap at the brewery, light and easy to drink beer, thin, small hops, but decent

This beer worked well for me as an accompaniment to my salad. The aroma and taste held hints of pear, and a clean smooth palate with no funky maltiness, made it work well with light food, and in this case better than a wheat beer would have and it was a nice change from the usual options when I want something lighter flavored to begin my meal. It has a touch of sweetness, too, which made for a really good follower to a spicy dish such as the blackened fish that I had.

Light hop aroma. Pale golden color. Medium bitter start and longhorn bitter finish. Thin body and watery texture. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Well what can I say? It was a Kolsch. Bottle share at the Syb Pig. Can from Steven. Pours a clear yellow with soft white head. Aroma light and slightly musty. Taste was overall fine for a kolsch with a crips finish and some carbonation. Nothing to write home about.

Cans on multiple occasions. Pours with a clear golden yellow with a retentive white head. Smooth, grainy and bready aromas, clean yeast, light sulfur, low hops. Flavors are bready, grainy and dry. Malt forward with medium-low sweetness. Very clean, low mineral. Medium dry finish, fuller carbonation, very sessionable.

Pours a golden yellow color with a dry corn aroma. Taste is simple, with a dry flavor. A bit watery but easy drinking. A small metallic taste from the can.

Pours a clear pale golden color with a thin white head. Bolder aromas of pear and banana than is usual for this style. The flavors are more robust too. Nice pilsner bitterness to challenge the sweetness. Some green grape and banana. Pretty good Kolsch.
