COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A more traditional English-style brown, emphasizing sweetness and a smoked malt flavoring.

12oz can - Aroma - white sugar bag, brown bread mix, mineral water and tea leaves Appearance - deep mahogany brown body, semi-clear, super light tan head, light retention Mouthfeel - medium body, light carbonation, somewhat dull, yet sticky Flavor - something weird here. Tea leaves, banana, light cocoa, seems overly sweet. Overall - while very affordable, it was a let down and frankly a poor example of a pedestrian style of beer. How does one mess up a brown ale?

Pours two fingers of light tan head on a brown-red body. The aroma has lots of roasted and toasted malt. The taste is milky, roasted malt, nutty, mild lemon bitter. Great balance. Smooth texture with low carbonation. An excellent brown.

Draft at LAX. Clear brown pour, minimal head. Thin malty aroma of roast and biscuit. Taste is moderately sweet with lightly roast bitter finish. Light body, texture is thin, average carbonation. Overall: unremarkable in every way.

This is a very grassy malty beer that is a bit too much of both of those for me. Not that good.

A nice easy drinking but adequately roasty and flavorful brown ale. Not THEIR best brew, but a bit of a standout in a normally boring style for me..."

Beer Bloggers Conference - San Diego - Brown in color, clear with a thin head. Nice brown ale with a great flavor. Sweet with a light smoke.

Chalky deep brown color. 1/4" off-white head. Aroma is all full of coffee. Initially the flavor is too before it turns to a meaty dark maltiness with a side of bitterness. The finish trends up to sweet.

Nice thick tan head. Deep burgundy colored body. Good malty aroma. Malts carry over into the flavor as well. Definitely a good example of a brown in my book. Only bought a single can. But, will definitely buy the whole four-pack the next time around that I’m looking for something not loaded with hops.

Fad: I lufthavnen i LAX.

Looks and smells great, but the was a bit shallow in terms of flavor. I really like Golden Road overall, and think they have the right branding and ideas, but it just seems like their beers are brewed at a huge scale where you lose the quality control that other craft brewers work so hard to keep.
