COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first beer, a German style Hefeweißen, brewed with honey and northern California citrus fruit. It’s yeasty, with hints of citrus on the finish. UPDATE: This is *not* brewed with honey. It is 100% vegan.

Pours a hazy yellow without much head. Not much aroma. Slightly sour taste. Not my favorite hefeweizen. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

To start, I’ll admit I’m not a huge fan of Hefeweizen. This is probably middle of the road in terms of the hefs I’ve ordered.

Tap. Pours hazy golden, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is smoky wheat - odd, lemon zest, banana. Flavor is light plus sweet, lots of clove, citrus, banana, minimal bitterness. Light body, a bit of acid. Not so great.

Purchased at Wally’s in Los Angeles, CA; enjoyed after a nice day of hiking the Santa Monica mountains. Appearance is a very cloudy gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of light banana, clove, and sweetness. Taste goes down refreshing, decent Weiss, nothing outstanding but solid.

On tap at Noe Restaurant at the Omni in downtown LA Dec. 9th. Pours a nice, cloudy dark golden with moderate head. Very flavorful for a hefe, nice through the finish. Good, local and fresh beer. Above average.

16 ounce can at True Food @ Fashion Island. Real cool can, solid graphic, decent hefey taste but lacks on the spice side. drinkable but nothing to suburb. Would not search out again

I'm certainly no expert on hefeweizens, but this seems to have a lot more sour citrus than the normal sweets. Not the best I've had, but it is good and would make a great summer beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned from Windy City. Nose is lightly spiced and somewhat sweet. Flavor is pretty sweet, but lacking a bit on the spices. The yeast flavors are not really there. Not a very good German Hefe. First sub-par beer I’ve had from Golden Road.

Call me old fashioned but I like my hefeweizens cloudy and bold of flavour. As soon as I pour it and see the crystal clear pale golden amber colour and big white foam head, I’m a little disappointed. But the nose is decent, estery banana, clove, crisp lager yeast, touch of lemon citrous, slight creaminess. It’s too crisp and light of flavour though. Taste is a little watery. This is a lightweight hefeweizen.

Had a pint on tap at Mohawk Bend. Delicious, light, refreshing, loaded with banana hefe character.

Aluminum can from Sprout’s: Appeared a golden blonde with some sediment haze while a frothy topping of white foam head quickly retreated. Aroma smells fake and smells more like an American wheat than real hefeweizen. The drink is just as awful and tastes bitter and bland and has that undesirable wet cardboard flavor. Possibly one of the worst hefeweizen’s I ever had and even major macros make better ones that this poor attempt.
