COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first beer, a German style Hefeweißen, brewed with honey and northern California citrus fruit. It’s yeasty, with hints of citrus on the finish. UPDATE: This is *not* brewed with honey. It is 100% vegan.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2012 Easy drinking, but not necessarily rewarding Hefe from LA brewery. Purchased at local grocery store in a pack of 4 pint cans for $8 or $9. Appearance is hazy in the way a hefe should be. Aroma and flavor are both too simple, too faint to really appreciate. Tried adding some lemon but didn’t really help. Even after nearly a full lemon. For my money, I’ll stick with Widmer when I want a Hefe.

From the can, hazy yellow pour with a nice aroma of banana, yeast and clove. Flavor has a little citrus zest. Good Hefe! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16 oz can poured a cloudy golden amber with a lingering ring of ivory foam. Aromas of wheat, yeast, banana and light clove. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of wheat, yeast, banana and a hint of clove with a smooth yeasty finish.

Hazy orange yellow with a medium bright white head and minimal lace. Wheat malt aromas, with a touch of ripe banana. Sweetish malt flavor, with prominent banana and clove. Medium body, highly carbonated, and a crisp finish. Ok, but I’m just not interested in hefes.

Pours a hazy yellow without much head. Not much aroma. Slightly sour taste. Not my favorite hefeweizen. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden, hazzy in color on the pour. Very quick tasking of fruit and sweetness on the palate throughout and on the finish. Also picked up a lot of citrus throughout the drink.

On tap at Ozumo, Santa Monica. I will never, ever understand why restaurants that put so much care into their food and their wine selections phone it the fuck in with beer. A Hefe from GR was the only local-ish selection available, unreal. Anyways, it was perfunctory in every way except that it added to the usual features a vague sense of noble hop dryness which went over well.

Can. Thanks to adnielsen for sharing. Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Strong metallic aroma (from can?) with some citrus and wheat. Lemon, orange, wheat, yeast flavors with some veggie. Doesn’t taste like a german hefe, more like an american hefe/american wheat. Not too great.

Shit canned @ home, courtesy of womencantsail. Cheers, A-dogg! Pours a cloudy, bright, golden orange appearance with a nice, off-white head. Zesty yeasty, slight vegetal, honey/herbal-like bitter, a bit dusty aroma. Kind of chewy, light veggie, a bit metallic, bready, quite spicy, moderate citrusy flavor. Not a fan.

Faint wheat and coriander aroma. Pale orange with a quick dissipating foam. Laid back wheat overtones with some pleasant orange and citrus notes beneath it. Overall, pretty decent Hef with pleasant orange, wheat and citrus flavor. I’d give this a C Rating.

A - Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some light lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of wheat and grainy malts, lemon zest, orange and citrus hops, banana, clove, coriander. T - Starts off with a mix of sweet wheat with some orange and lemon zest. Through the middle, the banana and clove yeast character come through with a touch of coriander and hop character. The finish is a mix of sweet grainy malts with orange, lemon zest, banana, and clove. M - Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet and yeasty finish. D - Very drinkable. Good overall balance with good sessionability and yeast character.
