Can acquired via an extra in trade. Thanks! Pours a well hazed orange amber hue, a goood murky body, nice carbonation in the body and some darker orange glow overall. A frothy loose whitish head atop stays as a filmy layer, laces small and sticks around as a smalll soapy film. Aromas show some firmer oranges and zest, florals and earth, gentle spice. Some grapefruit, more florals, spice and zest. A bit bready, a touch biscuity and oxidation. Citrusy and hop driven fruit elements, orange juice and florals. Solid. Initial is medium bodied, a bit biscuity and floral. Bread, soap and some citrus elements. Well carbonated, a bit spicy and fizzy up front. Some firmer bitterness hits the palate. Firmly bitter, dry, and hoppy, but that biscuity and toasty malt body peeks through firmly even through all the bitterness. Touches of fruit, distinct carmelized and toasty feel. A bit dry, bitter as we start to taper out. The hop element isn’t that complex or vibrant, but it is bitter. Still the firmer malt base beneath takes away from the better good here. A bit toasty, some oranges and citrus taper out, a bit more dry and floral, decent biitterness still with that distinct toasty/biscuit appeal. Meh. With everything else coming out right now, I can think of some lighter malt bill and more vibrant hop options I’d much rather drink. Not my vibe. Nose was solid, beer looks good, flavors and palate scores suffer a bit from me.

Very basic ipa not best here. Weaker version if their wolf. Light sweetness. No hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From can to glass! Pours a cloudy gold with a nice head. Aroma is of citrus. Taste is not what I expect from an IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good retention with some decent lacing. Smells of citrus fruits, hops and sweet malt. Tastes of grapefruit and some pine. Finishes with a mild bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not terrible, but totally average. Mild aromatics and very lean, with an almost thin character to it. With all the IPAs in California, I’ll pass.

Beer pours a golden yellow color with a small head. It has some mild fruits in the nose with some malts. Taste is a little watered down. Mild fruits with a little bit of bread. Not too good.

Can via trade. Slightly hazy light orange with a moderate white head. Excellent lacing. Grainy aroma. Kinda weird. Slightly grassy. Taste is also more malt balanced than hops. Slightly bitter. Low to medium grassy hop flavor. Clean finish. Just ok.

Can pours a fairly clear light orange color. Aroma is a little funky, not in a good way, kind of old and vegetal. Doesn’t come through in the flavor. Grainy, malty up front followed by a light hop character and mild bitterness.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2014 Average at best. Tasted stronger/better from the can than from the tap at Golden Road’s restaurant. Very little carbonation. With so many IPA’s available, this one doesn’t do much to distinguish itself.

Malted banana nose. Initial taste is light and fruity turns sharply to dry citrus rind in the mouth after multiple tastings. Any extra points for the nifty kraft packaging were immediately negated by the poor can design. Seems to be a theme here.
