Tap at Golden Road. Light amber pour. Clear. Webby, thick lacing. Nose is thick cantaloupe. Taste is cantaloupe, chewy caramel, soapy bitterness. Dry, soapy palate. Pretty good.

Pint can into pint glass A- Light straw, dense 3 finger white head. S- Nice sweet citrus smell, very good. T- Some malt, a bit of the citrus hops that were in the nose, some wierdness, sort of rye-like, almost wheaty? M- Good carbonation, right consistency. O- Pleasantly surprised, but still not a spectacular beer. Got this in a BIF and glad I tried it, but if I lived in SoCal I would have a hard time buying this will all the other options available. Aroma is of floral hops citrus and soft malts. Burnt orange color. Thick foamy three finger head with excellent retention. Initial taste of citrus. Orange and grapefruit. Malt comes in softly and balances out the resounding floral hops and spice notes. Cascade and Amarillo. Spices linger on the pallatte. Overall an excellent take on a common style of beer. Definitely one of the more balanced IPA’s I?ve ever had. Excellent drinkabilty. Worth having another!

16oz can poured into a large Duvel tulip glass. Pours a clear golden color with a one finger head with minimal lacing. Aroma is pine and citrus but not as hop forward and your standard West Coast IPA. Taste is the same along with a clean dry mouthfeel. Goes great with some breaded spicy chicken wings.

Clear copper hue, decent head formation. Fresh fruity orange , floral aroma. Mild biscuity malt, but light palate. Hoppy spice from start to finish with a good grapefruit aftertaste. Not a complex IPA, but a nice Tasty easy drinker and pleasingly not too strong either.

@ Oskar Blues Burning Can Fest 2012. Smells like orange zest and toffee malts. Flavor was nice and crisp with a firm orange citrus tone and some malty sweetness like caramel graininess. Sweet and flavorful and balanced.

Poured from a pint can into a smaller glass at the Courtyard Marriott in Culver City, Calif. Less than an inch of head. Color was honey amber. Light gray lacing that dissipated very quickly except some light thin spots. Very little film on the side of the glass, just a slight haze. Really dug the smell. Got a sweet orange citrus flavor up front and then walloped with hops on the back end. Seemed to be some caramel in there. In fact, together it reminded me a bit of the original Sparks. Surprisingly the opposite of the smell. Got a bitter hops taste right away, giving way to a smooth, orange/tangerine finish. Really digging the taste as well. Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long bitter finish. Really liked this beer. I love how the orange, tangerine and citrus hops coincide with the bitterness. Want to take some home with me.
