Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, orange and pine. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Can. It pours a lightly hazy, golden body and a dense, finger-thick white head. The aroma is sweetish and fruity, peaches and pine cones spring to mind. Drier on the palate than expected, luckily, but there’s some sweetness going on. Nice bitterness too, and both pine cones and tropical fruits in the flavor. Medium body, with pleasant carbonation. Mostly bitter finish, with the tropical fruits chiming in. Dry. A decent beer indeed, and definitely worth the price at less than two dollars. 130805

From the can, shared by Nyby at a bottle share. Nose is dry pine and hops, with some citrus. Flavor is pine forward with hop bitterness balance, and only a minor malt presence. Not bad, would happily drink this one again.

Glassware: New Belgium Chalice Glass Aroma: Smells of pine, kind of bitter. TAste: Very resinous, orange peel, lemon bitter punch. Overall: For a canned IPA, I was pleasantly surprised by this and this seems like the kind of beer you take to a park/beach/forest on a hot relaxing day.

Aluminum can from Sprout’s: Created a thick pillow of foamy white head that left behind fair share of lacing down the glass. Liquid appeared a hazy gold liquid that had tons of sediment floating in equilibrium. Aroma had some obvious smells of hops but not enough to strike up my curiosity into actually tasting this beer. The drink is bitter and has a strong flavor of orange peel with a dash of bitter lime or lemon zest which proves to be more promising than my nose lead me to believe. I actually sort of like the bitter sweet soury tart flavors this IPA delivers and felt the price paid was reasonable. Would like to taste this fresh on tap one day.

Pours a clear classic golden color with a short white head. Carbonation bubbles migrate from the bottom a few at a time. Nice clean florally citrus nose. Mouthfeel is wet with carbonation a rub beig exacerbated by hop heat. Lemon/grapefruit flavor. Gets progressively bitter.

16oz can, no glass used and no visuals for beer other than "can." The aroma has resiny pine hops and a bit of mildly roasted malts. The taste delivers a good deal of pine hops that lean heavily toward resiny bitterness. Behind the pine hops I get slivers of grapefruit citrus hops as well as a light malt roastiness. This has a pretty nice load of hops and flavor for a 5% beer but it is a bit un-refined as the malts and the hops don’t go all that well together. But if your need is hops then this will work.

Somewhat papery oxidized nose with soft floral and citrus hops, a little biscuit, a little dust. Pours golden, nice clarity, thin head, thin lace. Flavors of soft toasted malts, a little paper, light sweetness, bread, floral hop notes - a little old tasting although it looks like it is dated 5/19/2013. Maybe it is just muted and boring. Anyways, not undrinkable, just "meh", (Jon, 2011).

16 oz can, very cool. Packaged 3.28.13. Pours a very hazy orange with lots of floaties. Smells oxidized immediately. Sweet caramel aroma of hop death, some pine still left over. Flavor is bitter and papery. Can see the potential for a good ipa, but need it fresher.

I got a 4 pack from Vons. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. Was this a cleverly disguised macro micro? It was on sale and a low abv fit the bill. Was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised. Pretty hoppy... Almost Sierra Nevada-ish. Digging it. Probably gonna go buy the rest of the pallet this weekend.
