3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A enjoyable beer. Not overly hoppy or bitter. Nice pine flavors, but seemed to be missing citrus or floral notes.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can. An average if slightly below average IPA? that drinks more like a pale ale. Very mild grapefruit up front with a fair hop aroma. Very thin and watery mouth feel, very average, over priced beer at best! Which seems to be the norm with the beers sampled from Golden Road. I had hoped for more...oh well.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can. Pours clear amber, medium off white head, nice lacing. NIce citrus and light pine aroma. Flavor is about the same, light passionfruit, light sweet, light bitter. Light body, oily texture. Pretty damn good for the ABV.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Its an average if slightly above average IPA. Strong grapefruit taste and a nice hop smell. Had both on tap at the brewery and poured from the can.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
I like the can’s art more than the beer and the beer’s flavor. It has a lager-like quality, like a hoppy pils. It’s weird. Kinda hard mouthfeel. Lackluster flavor. Smelled good though, smelled fresh.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Deep copper coloured body with a very clear glow and a thick, eight centimetre tall frothy tan head. Aroma of light grassy and cardboardie hops with a lot of yeast notes, some unfinished wort smells and a bit of apple sweetness. Light to Medium-bodied; Grassy and earthy/nutty hop flavours at first with a very mild sweetness, a rather pungent cardboadie maltiness and some light yeast flavours at the tail end. Aftertaste quite mild and unflattering - some caramelised malt flavours with a hint of hops, but not much. Overall, not such a good IPA and a lot worse than I was expecting given the high scores - not really worth trying and definitely not worth bringing back across the country as I did. I sampled this sixteen ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Tustin, California on 04-August-2012 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 02-December-2012.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can from K & L Wines, Hollywood. Tall boys forever, I love this trend. Anyways, a nice semi-cloudy light orange pour. Soft fluffy carbonation. Dry and tea-like nose like a craft bitter, with some floral and pungent hops not so much as an afterthought as less aggressive than one expects from Califas. Nice, balanced, definitely would classify this as an APA though.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Drank from the can. Aroma of faint citrus and pine. The taste was a bit odd, almost had a ham sandwich taste. I guess I was expecting more. With so many great IPAs on the market, I wouldn’t reach for this one again.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma light citrus and pine pretty standard and a little flat ont he nose. Appearance is amber with 2 finger head minimal lacing
taste is flat follows aroma and sweet backend but nothing interesting
palate is oddly thick for a "session" IPA pretty un-refreshing
overall I’m not looking to try this again.
