I got a 4 pack from Vons. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. Was this a cleverly disguised macro micro? It was on sale and a low abv fit the bill. Was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised. Pretty hoppy... Almost Sierra Nevada-ish. Digging it. Probably gonna go buy the rest of the pallet this weekend.

12oz can pours a yellow amber color with a bit of head. Mild hops. Lingering bitterness. Some citrus.

On tap at The Archive for Armakeggon. Not as much punch as most IPA’s, medium citrus/grapefruit flavours, light body.

Santa Clara, Ca. - Bevmo! - 16 oz can. Hazy light orange pour, bubbly snow white head. Decent spruce-like aroma, a bit of fresh dirt. Flavor has some light citrus bitterness, a hint of fresh dirt (odd for an IPA), some hard candy sweetness. Mouthfeel is thick enough.

Draft at a bar at LAX. Clean, darker orange, white foam. Mild tropical aroma, plenty of malty backing. Clean, strong flavored, but dull.

16oz can. Exactly what is it. Single IPA with enough going on it drinks well but isn’t exciting.

Can. Cloudy gold with a white head. Aroma of pineapple, biscuit, peach bubblegum. Bland pale malt, tropical and stone fruit, some peppery and leafy notes. Neither dry nor bitter enough to quite clean up the sweetness.

KeefOz (1155) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - JUN 23, 2015
Poured a clouded golden amber colour with a two-finger white frothy head that retained well and laced quite well. Carbonation low and medium sized. Aroma of moderately strong grapefruits with a hint of sweet tropical fruits plus an underlying malt sweetness. Taste of a light sweet caramel maltiness followed by a tart/citrus/grapefruit bitterness; not over-powering and quite nice. Light body. Smooth with an oily mouthfeel and a lingering nice moderate grapefruit bitterness on the finish. A good example of an IPA but nothing to differentiate it from many others.

Lothore (597) - California, USA - JUN 14, 2015
Pours a cloudy orangey hue with a pale, off white head. Citrus, grapefruit and pine on the nose. Wheaty, pine, slightly citrusy with a bitter back end. Medium bodied with ample carbonation. Decent ipa, nothing stands out particularly.

Murky golden color with thin white head. Slight floral notes from the hops. Crisp medium finish. This beer is complex enough to be desirable but the hops aren’t very overwhelming, so you could easily drink a few of these on a hot day.

Maris (1172) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - MAY 26, 2015
From a 355ml can on 26/5/2015. Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a bright white medium head. Has a pleasant troical/stone fruit hop aroma. Flavour wise, there’s lots of peach, apricot and passionfruit. There’s not a lot of malt evident, and it’s not particularly sweet, with the grapefruity bitterness ultimately holding sway. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Solid.
