Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours deep, rich amber with a long lasting thin head. Piney aroma. Hoppy taste. Really good.

Can. Pours a copper orange color with a slight light tan head. Not an overly aromatic ipa, some fruit and caramel notes. Medium mouthfeel. Caramel upfront with a sweet then slightly bitter aftertaste. It’s ok, nothing outstanding.

Deep orange amber, almost red, with a nice bright white head and decent lace. Sharp pine and citrus hop aromas with a strong caramel and toffee malt base. Flavors are pretty much identical, with significant from both the citrus hops and caramel sweetness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, oily texture and a finish dominated by the malt sweetness. Very nice.

16 oz can packaged 07.30.2012. Love the can. Cloudy amber pour with a quickly diminishing head. Pine, earthy, grassy aroma, with a hint of cat piss. Flavors of caramel and toffee, with more pine hops backing it up. Well-balanced with no indication of the 8%. A bit undercarbonated.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ChazMania (639) - Pasadena, California, USA - AUG 12, 2012
4 pack bought from WF Pasadena, poured one into my tulip glass. The aroma is mild compared to the Drakes Aroma Coma I had the other night. Pours gorgeous amber orange and good carb for the style. Taste is OK but nothing really jumps out to me to make this unique in that regard. Palate is a bit thin. Over all an enjoyable beer but can’t stand up to something like a Deviant Dales.

Amber color with an off-white head. Nose is somewhat grassy, but good citrus peel, pine, and floral notes. A little bit woody, actually. Some sweet caramel and toffee, which I’ve come to expect from Golden Road. The flavor is lightly bitter with toast, caramel, and toffee malt flavors. Some citrus fruit and peel, light pine, and grassy hop flavors. Not a big fan.

4 day old can from the brewery. Pours a medium orange to amber color with medium tan head. Aroma is musty and slightly spicy with a mild citrus hop aroma with a tiny amount of dankness as the beer warms a little. Taste is well balanced between malt and hop. Just as the malt seems to dominate it never gets to that point and the hops come in and add bitterness with a slight sweet orange to citrus blossom taste/smell. Overall, a good drinking DIPA but by no means a hop monster and I can see this really going downhill quickly with the hop profile being somewhat weak.

Pours a dark orange color. Not a particular hop jumps out aroma wise. The taste is straightforward bitter with a good balance of malt. Not a hop showcase but a solid DIPA. From the first batch of cans released.

Disclaimer: I drank this from a can poured into a glass at the brewery. It was canned yesterday, so it is as fresh as it gets.
Pours a deep amber with a firm off white head. Crystal clear.
The fresh hop aromas are pervasive almost stinging in a very nice way.
The flavors of hops and malts are beautifully interlaced. No doubt a hop monster but balanced and very drinkable.
Rich on the palate without being overwhelming. Perfect for the style.
I drank one at the bar and bought 2 4 packs to take home. A truly delicious beer.
