COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a balanced showcase of the majestic hop specie, in Latin, Humulus Lupulus, which translates “Wolf Among Weeds”. It’s our celebration of California’s enthusiasm for hop-forward IPAs. At 8%, Wolf will sneak up on you from behind the robust citrus and dank earthy hop notes mirrored in its aroma and flavour profile.

The aroma hit me as soon as I cracked the can open. Smelled like a sack of that medical marijuana that the kids are smoking these days. Tastes great. 8% you say? Yikes. Goes down like a 6%er. Fruity, hoppy. A little tiny bit over sweet, but nothing to complain about. Would be much better if it weren’t $11.99 for a 4 pack of tall boys, but that doesn’t play into my rating. That’s just me being a cheapskate, which I’m really not. So, down the hatch! Football’s on!

On tap @ Zeitgeist. Pours clear golden yellow with thin lacy white head. Aroma is light sweet caramel malt, medium hops with light citrus, floral, and grassy notes. Taste is clean light malt, juicy citrus and pine hops with nice dry and floral notes. Clean and easy drinking, big flavor, especially considering the relatively light body.

Can thanks to snoworsummer. Pours hazy gold with creamy white head. Aroma is cereal and bready malts, floral and citrus hops, orange peel, and faint peach. Flavor is medium hop bitterness, lots of citrus, and good malt profile. Medium body and carbonation.

Backlog rating. Can at Caspar tasting at Chriso’s, London. It pours a hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity with light grassy hops, pine needles, grapefruit skin and burnt sugar. Taste is quite sweet with more grassy pine hops before it finishes bitter and dry. Overall, good DIPA

Wonderfully floral in the glass, citrus and pine. Taste of caramel before a strong bitter end. Plenty of hops also give pineapple through middle. Pint can. 8%. 3std drks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Surfside Tap Room. Golden orange glowing pour with a slick of white foam. Resinous pine with complimentary bitterness and bready malt in the aroma. Taste is aggressive but not overly played bitterness with sharp pine (perhaps some citrus) and a mellow amalgamation of bready/sweet malt. Coating mouthfeel. I’ve passed up out of date cans of this beer for two years and after finally having it fresh I’m glad I did. Very good IIPA.

Very good overall IPA. Earthy, piney notes with hints of citrus. Don’t notice as much of a fruity aroma/taste to this beer. Still Very tasty, just not quite as distinguishable as I expected.
