Golden pour with thick soapy head. Very resinous smelling(canned 5-1-13) notes of vanilla and grapefruit citrus. Taste is more malt forward but ends with nice refreshing bitter hops lemony zing.

Wittales (611) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUL 9, 2014
Appearance was clear orangish gold with lasting creamy white 1 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are soft sweet malts, tropical, citrus and stone fruit with hints of pine, no alcohol. Taste are orange, lemon, peach, guava and melon with middle malt sweetness and pine. Palate was creamy smooth CO2 with medium body, then lasting well balanced smooth bitter finish. A good solid DIPA from LA.

I'll give credit to LA folk for dropping some Latin knowledge. I took two years of Spanish in high school so estoy un experto en Latino.

Golden-orange pour with a white head. The aroma has some heavy mango, orange and grapefruit notes. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of fruit notes with some mango notes coming through the strongest. I also get some biscuit malt and a medium amount of bitterness. This one is fairly boozy. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Thanks to Wittales in local 3.14 swap. Pours a chill hazed golden yellow from the can with bubbly white head that dissipates to leave light lace. Aroma is resinous citrus and grapefruit hops. Taste follows, a nice hint of pale malt behind and dank hops over the top. Mild carbonation, lasting bitterness, solid west coast IPA.

Golden pour that has a bit citrus nose. Very piney taste that makes your teeth chatter. Lighter body with a bit of alcohol kick on the end. Drinks very smoothly.

Draft pour at Barney's Beanary. Cloudy orange. Tart grapefruit taste. Grapefruit aroma. Bitter and spicy. Super good. Perfect IPA.

BlackHaddock (3479) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 27, 2014
On my second flight of the day inside the Back Bay Bar (Wholefoods, Newport Beach): 13th April 2014. Pours a misty old golden colour and came with a white wisp for a head. Floral hop nose which turned bitter in the mouth. Hops ruled the whole brew, peppery at times, citrus notes coming through as it warmed a little. I’m warming to these sort of beers, but my delicate English palate isn’t used to so many hops in one glass yet.

On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau. Pours a light golden with a full white head that leaves a collar. Aroma is solid hop presence of citrus and grapefruit with restrained pine. Flavor mirrors aroma but everything is turned down a notch for a double and the malt is more pronounced. Moderate high bitterness leaves this beer a little disjointed.

Dogbrick (7585) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 27, 2014
On draught at Toronado. Clear dark golden color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a resiny hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
