This Golden Ale combines the best of New Zealand hops, English Malt and American Yeast with tropical fruit notes perfectly integrated with a delicious biscuit malt. Balanced for everyday drinking this beer channels Olympian spirit with Scottish enthusiasm. This beer is produced in limited quantities so this might be the only bottle you get to try. Enjoy

On tap @ Brew Craft Beer Pub, Rotorua. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma is a bit biscuity, bit flowery. Clear, golden coloured with a thin, white head. The taste is light bitter and has spice, hints of nutmeg, flowers. Okay.

Mmm, fruity! Starts off with a smell like a lemon-tinged cheesecake with a passionfruit topping, but when in the mouth this amazing hoppiness slips in until itís a long, linger citrusy bitter aftertaste. Maybe not "true to style" for a Golden Ale, but itís differences and character make it just simply delicious. Nom.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2011 Had in bottle from LK Cranford St. Pours pale gold with a white head that thins but never quite disappears. Aromas of intense passionfruit, spongecake and lemon curd. Flavours are at first sweet and unctuous and then WHAM! Hop bitterness in spadefuls that just gets more and more bitter. It sits on the palate and declares that it isnít going away without intervention. Nice to see a golden ale with a bit of character for a change.
