3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask (gravity) - Norwich Beer Festival 2012. Poured a clear chestnut brown with a bubbly, creamy and lasting off-white head. Subtle grapefruit, pine and resin aromas. slight roasted malt and coffee flavour with citrus and pine beneath all lingering well into the finish. Some biscuity pale malt in the aftertaste to boot. Soft, light to medium body with a good depth of flavour throughout.

Cask. Plaster’s Arms Norwich. Chosen by chance but boy what a winner. Wouldn’t normally have picked a black ale but agree with the description of a India Black Ale. In great nick on cask. Norwich / Norfolk seems to be having a real brewing renaissance right now. Had a great night out there without tasting anything from outside the county! Just Booutiful!
