Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 24, 2008 Draft at the brewpub as Chehalem Mountain IPA. A hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty and citrusy. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of grass from the hops, leading to a dry bitter finish where the grass sticks on the tongue. Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 22, 2007 On tap at the brewpub Bright golden-amber. Woody, grassy hop aroma with a good dose of toasty malts. Starts with a firm woody bitterness. The finish gets malty, with a big minerally note and a hint of diacetyl. The minerals I can handle but the diacetyl....such a poor finish is not becoming of this beer. argo0 (6230), Washington DC, USA Jul 19, 2004 Updated: Jul 24, 2004(RBSG04) Clear amber with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit. Taste is mild sweet, strong grapefruit, some herbal. Medium-full body, highly carbonated, grapefruit acidity. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA May 11, 2008 Date: 05/10/2008

CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 10, 2008 Pours a transparent copper orange with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly toasted grainy malts and some earthy grassy hops. Starts with a mild caramel malty sweetness and some earthy bittering hops. Finishes drier, earthy and bittersweet. For a west-coast IPA, I’d expect a much bigger fresher hoppy presence.
