Jun 25, 2008 Draft. A pitch black beer with a brown shine under a tan head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, as well as medium notes of soy sauce and light notes of whiskey. The flavor is sweet and very malty with notes of soy sauce and whiskey as well as lighter notes of chocolate, and a light alcohol burn, leading to a dry woody finish.

Apr 13, 2008 Bomber. Pours opaque blackish brown with tan head. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation. Chocolate and a bit of molasses in the taste. The taste is roasty malt, chocolate, molasses, and just a little pine in the not very bitter finish. Not too complex, but not too bad.
