2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Golden Valley, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma has notes of oats, light powdery cocoa, and toasted bread. Flavour is along the same lines, with dry cocoa and oats. Not a robust porter in my books, but itís clean. Decent but weak.

22. Pours an opaque black with a surging, gorgeous dark tan head and plenty of lace. Really sticks around for a while. Sweet sugary chocolate nose, even through the mountain of head. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Sweet milk chocolate and maybe a bit of lacto tingly to it. Drinkable enough, not totally broken. But not in the greatest shape, either. Mild sweet finish.

Bomber from Market of Choice that I had to pick up due to the fact that I went to Dundee Elementary school. Nice dark brown pour with a small white head. Flavor isnít bad, some roast and chocolate and the aroma is actually pretty good as well, but thereís a definite astringency to the beer thatís very off putting. Regardless though, Iíll keep supporting these (almost) my home town breweries until Newberg gets a brewery of its own. Hahaha, like thatíll ever happen.
