COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This stout is brewed using roasted, black barley and chocolate malts is mildly astringent with burnt malt tones. A higher finishing gravity promotes a full-bodied/ stout. Served on a nitrogen faucet.

Draft @ the Brewpub. Pours a black color with a creamy off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty creamy chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel finish.

Very solid, pitch black stout. Sweet without the taste of ham. Served on a nitrogen tap, which could have been better but otherwise good. Slight malty acric taste finishes.

The name sure is appealing... But it just doesn’t really size up. Aromas of coffee and chocolate are there but they are disappointingly mild. Flavors are on he sweet side. Body is creamy. Finish is a bit too clean.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2006 On tap at Golden Valley Brewery. Black. A nicely balanced stout, but no real standout flavours. Definitely didn’t get the richness of other oatmeal stouts I’ve tried. Chocolate tones, less than average bitterness.
