| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Its not the Quercus, this beer gains most of its tastiness from the oak barrel. Still though a pretty red ale with just that right hint of toasted barley. ratman197 (3193), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 29, 2008 Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of butterscotch, carmel and fruittiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooith. Flavors of butterscotch, light carmel and light fruittiness with a smooth slightly astringent finish. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. A hazy amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet and very malty, but also with notes of berries, leading to a dry bitter finish. Nice. BOLTZ7555 (1080), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Aroma...non-existent. Appearance is its most redeeming quality. At least it shows some color; a rich tangerine with just a hint of rose in its thickest point. Not a significant head but a thin ring remains throughout the gulp. Aroma is sickeningly sweet as is its flavor. Tastes like saccharine...artificial. Yuck. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2008 Aroma is floral and resious.
Pours orange-amber with a compact cream color head. Lacing is good.
Taste is sweet malt with citrus grapefruit hops. Bitter dry finish. IBU’s 25-30? Overall taste is like a sweet grapefruit. Tastes more like a full APA than an Irish Ale. Pretty tasty overall.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 14, 2008 clear caramel red color , thin head fizzle, strawbeery nose, bright red fruity aroma, bold dry caramel flavor, butter, toffee crunch, mild backdrop of unrecognizable hop bitters, not as much of a fruit hop citrus flavor as reds typically have, should be more mild for true red status, sort of an abrasive flavor though it is a good flavor, i’m ust not sure that it’s appropriate per style, good ale though, surprised it’s only %5, tastes much bigger and bolder troopie (870), USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Bottle. Poured pale red with thin fast dissipating head. Mild hoppy aroma. Light tangy flavour with a slim body. Light hop finish.
I would not call this aggressively hopped or a complex beer.
