On tap at Goldener Lowe Drugendorf. Hazy mid brown colour lasting beige head. Malty Lagerbier. As Nick explained yesterday this is your standard beer in a brewery and therefore is all things to all people. Malty enough to be satisfying some vague hop. It’s fine. Quite tasty. Happy to have had another. Brown malts. The equivalent of a best bitter.

Bottle bought at Landbierparadies Nuremberg. Looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, fine malty, light hoppy-dry notes. More and more spicy. Finish well balanced and quite drinkable. Really nice!

Flasche von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Goldbraun, klar.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2015 draft at Goldener Lowe in Drugendorf
medium-dark brown body, lightly hazed, mostly white head. very faint nose of washed out toasted grains and mild dry cocoa powder with a small touch of caramelized sugar / toffee. lightly doughy with low carbonation leaves the body and texture a bit watery, and at times it seems flavorless.

Gravity barrel at FrankenBierFest in Roma, March 2015. Lightly hazed rusty amber brown with a fine white head. Malty / toasty, a little apple-like, highly minerallic, light to moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, lots of malt richness in the way of red delicious apple and baked bread. Flowers and herb hoppiness, grassy noble in character. The texture is lightly syrupy and rich and savory. Good malt caramelization, a little smoky in the way of steinbeer actually. 7/4/7/4/15

Bottle by 24.10.(12). Nose is sweet pale malt and heavy straw, some light roast/nut, with some cellar churning away underneath. Deep dark chestnut pour with a fizzy beige head. Taste is relatively dry with lots of light roast and a ton of nuts. Low bitterness, some caramel in the murky, slick medium body.

Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. Clear, dark amber appearance with a cream colored head. Toasty malty, cracker, somewhat husky, light caramel aroma. A bit earthy, fairly floral and herbal hoppy, lightly woody, toasty caramel malty flavor. Not bad.
