3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 50cl. Pours a copper-coloured brew with small quickly disappearing head. Malty light smoky body with decent hops in the background. Typical franconian style landbier, the fresher you get, the better it is. Quite good brew!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from brewery. Pours darker than expected. A nice amber colored beer with thick white head and grandma lacing. Excellent bready aromas with plenty of mouthwatering floral hops. It’s delicious! Flavors are unexpectedly better than the aromas with whole grain pasta nuttiness and a dry finish to boot.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2010 Draught at the brewpub. The aroma seems a little smoky, but I cannot trace it in the flavour. Hazy brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour has a slightly rough bitterness. Not as malty as I expected from the colour. Quite boring. 5 3 5 3 11
Bottle, 4.9% bought at the brewery. Strangely rough aroma, a little unpleasant. Clear grey amber colour. Small off-white head. The flavour has some caramelly malt, OK sweetness. The finish leaves a bit of rubber on the palate. 5 3 6 3 12

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light coppery colored, little white head. Sweet-chocolaty aroma with some earthy-cardboardy zwickel tones, some butter here too. Nice aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor has also this chocolaty dryness and hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste dries strongly. Good complex brew.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask (Bayerishe Anstich) at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy dark bronze colour, rocky head. Buttery malt aroma with a whiff of vegetables. Medium sweet with soft, well rounded mouthfeel. Salty finish with grassy bitterness. A mild and nicely malty very drinkable beer, but the vegetables in the nose distracts.
