Very dark red/brown colour. Sweetish with caramel, toffee and plummy fruit. Surprisingly less malty that the Flashmans Clout but, overall, had a better shape and feel to it. Cask (handpump), Tom Browns, Dorchester.

Medway Fest. Murky brown ale. There are pleasant tastes here, such as chestnut puree with a hint of smoke, but on the whole this is a loose beer with no definable shape. It tastes very much like a crude homebrew. If a friend had made it I would slap them on the back and say it was very tasty, but for a commercial brew this rather thick, crude, awkwardly sweet, unbalanced ale is simply not good enough. Poor show.

Cask Conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival. Dark reddy brown beer with a malty bubbly head. Full bodied dark roasted malts dominate this beer with a little acidic sour underbelly. A little flabby sweetness mixed in, but primerily a dark husky English Strong Ale.
