Draft @ brewpub #1 (embassy row) location. Near black with tan cap. Asphalt, coal aromas and correspondingly great charcoal flavors. Smooth palate. Licorice finish but is dry and coaly throughout. Very nice.

Draught at Goldmalt 2, Hanoi. Dark brown with creamy beige head. Aroma and flavour of sweet caramel malt, toast and chocolate. Low bitterness and a slight roughness in the finish. Not as good as other locally brewed dunkels.

Draught at Goldmalt 2, Hanoi. Very dark brown, beige creamy head. Neutral aroma, Fairly sweet and very mild with light-medium body There’s some milk and a touch of licorice. Finishes lightly lactic with low bitterness. A mild and unassuming tmavý, the way many Czech women likes it.

Advertised as "dark pilsner". Nice dark chestnut colour with a full creamy head. Sweetish bread-like smell is rather faint. At first taste a drinkable, down-to-earth pilsner with medium body and soft carbonation; long malty aftertaste with a little bitter coffee at the finish. A creditable brew.
