3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I enjoyed a mug of this beer while in the brewery in Hanoi, Vietnam. The beer had a fairly clear, straw-gold color with a large foamy white head that had good retention, and nice cling and lacing. Its aroma featured a blend of citrus and light floral hops, with some touches of malt and pine. The beer had a fairly grainy and citrus bitter taste with some light compliments of sour barley. Its body was somewhat dry with low-to-average carbonation, and was a touch watery with a medium-full mouthfeel. A great beer after being in SE Asia for a few weeks.

@ Goldmalt 2. Hazy light bronze. Herbal, minty aroma with extracty malty character. Herbal character and moderate bitterness. Fresh noble hops, light malt background. The character is rustic/unfiltered, as advertised. Nice brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft @ brewpub. Hazy gold. Nice off-white head. Aroma is balanced. Has some floral hops in the nose. Palate is thick. Has distinct unfiltered character. The aromas and flavors seem formulaic but tasty. Good dose of hop bitterness matched by thick malt sweetness. Has a formulaic, homebrew character but an unfiltered charm too. Fills a hop craving. Pils at the embassy row location not as hoppy but equally as good.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Golden color, small white head, some lace. Soapy, lemony hoppy nose, hints of cereals. Sweet malty, wort, decent but gentle hop profile, bitterish finish. Typical brewpub lager but much better than a crappy lager at "Goldmalt number 2".
