work hard to brew the best beer around. The news has already spread ó drinking Goldmine is a richly rewarding experience.

NOTE: This is the same beer as Copper Bell Lager, renamed due to legal action from Bellís. Brewed for Whole Foods Market.

Pours a straw yellow with white head. Grain, grass and floral aroma. Grain, floral, grass and water flavors. Light body and carbonation. Grain finish.

12 oz. can from my Secret Santa. The ílump of coalí in my box of treats. Pours light, clear yellow, with a big, bubbly, white head. The aroma is corn, perfume, and hay. Sweet, with no real bitterness. Light body, fairly effervescent, crisp, and acidic. The mouthfeel is the best thing this has going for it; otherwise, just thin, watery, and worthless.

Aroma and taste are classic American lager. Pretty decent taste for a cheap lager so if thatís what youíre looking for, this will do nicely.

Can pour. Clean gold with basic head. Aroma is straightforward. Cereal and corn. Mild sulfur. Taste is grass and cereal grains. More towards the sweet end of the lager spectrum. Mild carbonation. For the price ($4 for a sixer) you would be hard pressed to do better in NYC.

Faint grass and sweet grain aromas. A clear slightly dark yellow with a white head that dissipates rather quickly and leaves a collar of small bubbles. Taste is lacking in many respects - not always bad for inexpensive lagers! A slight graininess prevails. Moderate crisp finish. A little bit dry, but with residuals grain on the lips. Thin mouthfeel. Not bad, but not much to be excited about.

6 pack 3.99 at Whole Foods. Decent. Pours a clear yellow color, some copper with a medium white head. Now, letís not kid ourselves, this is cheap beer. But itís drinkable: sweet malts, light floral hops, a bit of corn. Drinks clean and smooth. I like it.

Six pack of cans from a Whole Foods. Price was $3.00. Basic lager flavor and aroma without any offensive flaws. High carbonation. A tad watery. Nice price.

At $3.00 for a six pack I thought what do I have to lose. Comes in cans. It was actually pretty good, Easy to drink, creamy mouth feel, no off flavorís like I was worried about. Just kind of plain Jane, easy drinking cheap beer you could fill an Ice chest with without breaking the bank.

12oz can (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 48į. Color is a light gold with light carbonation and a very thin white head. Aroma of grain, corn and something sour. It has a light body and creamy mouth feel. Flavor is sweet giving a honey like taste on top of grain, corn and a faint note of hops. After taste is clean, just some remnants of the honey briefly lingering. Overall itís not a brew I would seek out; itís not bad just oddly sweet.

Sweetish, malty aroma, with a little off sulphuriness. Bright yellow, big white head, bright red/yellow can. A little mineral, a little straw, lightly sweet. Medium light body, lingering cheap malt and grain-husk bitter finish. The main calling card might be that a sixer of this is only $3.99. Whole Foods, Tallahassee.
