1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 DSG (3006) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JUN 14, 2008
The newest addition to the family of Israeli macro lagers (already about a year+ old) coming a few years after the commercial demise of Maccabee Light. I think this one’s heading towards failure as well very soon. Clear amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma has graininess, a bit of cooked corn character, faint toasted malt and hop hints. Sweetish flavor with some malt. Later, some light bitterness with hoppy hints and some metal. Light-bodied and quite watery. Pretty similar to regular Goldstar, just a bit worse. Still drinkable when served cold.
