COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
(Translation from Hebrew) A dark beer, contains only 2/3 of the amount of calories in Goldstar beer. The delicate flavor and the characteristic aroma come from the selected malt and hop types combined with an improved fermentation.

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardboard and malt as well as a light note of caramel. The body is light. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Clear light to medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, rice, resin, oxidid malt. Flavor is light moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090404]

Bottle, 4%. Metallic aroma. In the glass, the beer is almost clear, dark golden. A thick layer of yeast is left in the bottle. The flavour is slightly bready with a little green apple. Not good.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Clear deep golden with a white head. Somewhat oxidized aroma. Light body, heavy carbonation, very dry with perfumy and soapy accents - odd. Dry finish. 040409

The newest addition to the family of Israeli macro lagers (already about a year+ old) coming a few years after the commercial demise of Maccabee Light. I think this one’s heading towards failure as well very soon. Clear amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma has graininess, a bit of cooked corn character, faint toasted malt and hop hints. Sweetish flavor with some malt. Later, some light bitterness with hoppy hints and some metal. Light-bodied and quite watery. Pretty similar to regular Goldstar, just a bit worse. Still drinkable when served cold.
