Brownish amber and a fluffy white head with a similar appearance to New Zealand mainstream styles. Aromas of German lager malts with a bit of amber malt. No discernible hop aromas at all. The flavour has a short measure of the German malts and very little else. Just unremarkable.

Bottle. Pours clear light amber with white head. Nose/taste of corn and malt. Mostly malt. Inoffensive. Lighter bodied.

Bottle from World Market. Very light roasted taste. A little bitter in the finish. This is a very light dark beer. Fairly boring, but it’s a not too offensive.

The head was unrobust, the body clear and brown. It smells like barley, Co² a bit alcoholic. The taste is malty a bit foamy-roasty. Overall medium 9/8/7/8/-/8

Aroma is subdued sweet malts. The flavor is caramel malts, medium sweetness and a smooth finish. Had worse, had better.

Simple everyday beer. Not aiming high, and there’s not a single bad thing to say about it. Simple but great.

Husker fremdeles denne som en særdeles dårlig øl, enda så mange år senere. Alle skandinavene i gruppa unngikk den som best vi kunne.

Bottle:   Golden, clear, frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Soft bready nose, a little mealy, semi-sweet.   Similar tongue, buttery whole wheat toast.   Not as heavy or toasty as other examples, a little light, but clean.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft toasted malts linger.   Pretty straight forward, clean, not as big as others... but in this heat this one was just fine.

Brown bottle from Half Time. Pours amber/brown with a slight creamy white head. Very light roast malt aroma. Near med body. Flavor is very light roast malt with rather light noble hop. Sort of neither here nor there bitter/dry wise. Certainly drinkable if required.
