on tap - various pubs all over Israel. Amber colored lager, nothing noteworthy in either aroma or taste, typical. I did however prefer this to Maccabee when available.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at a beach bar in Tel Aviv. Amber in the glass with an off-white head that settles to a ring. Grainy aroma with a malt background. Sweet flavor with caramel malts. Medium body and a smooth texture.

Can aboard a Delta flight. Odd that I’d find this on a flight from Ireland to the US; obviously the aircraft had been on a run to Tel Aviv. I drank a lot of this when I was in the country in the 2001 time-frame. I can’t say I was impressed then, and this didn’t do anything to change my mind. Darker than I expected, amber-gold with a major head of airy off-white foam. The aroma is that of a corny mash, and it drinks with a super sweet corn thing, very sweet and sugary. There’s not much backbone to it, unfortunately, but there is a bit of a tangy finish. (#3681, 9/16/2009)

Location: A beer that is pretty easy to find in it’s home nation of Israel
A not very interesting beer at all. I was very underwhelmed by the beers from Israel that I drank when I went there a few years ago.

First and probably last Israeli beer. Crystal clear pale yellow color with no head. Grainy aroma with a slightly malty flavor. Palate was very light, extremely watery, and flat.
