2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours dark copper amber with almost white big long lasting head. Aroma is malts, little roast, grains and hay. Palate is thin watery, with medium weak carbonation. Taste is mostly malty a bit sweet with edgy bitter dry hops kicking in in the aftertaste. A simple lager with flavors of mix of Märzen and normal Pilsener. Technically OK a beer. Drinkable but average.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slight macro lager with a hint of spice to it. Pours a clear copper in the glass. Slight toasty malt flavor with more of the spice from the aroma. Clean and crisp but not terribly exciting. Thanks to Dandman629 for the hookup from Israel.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not an overly flash beer - though it’s a lager so to be expected. More malty flavour than I expected, but lacked carbonation.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Light amber color. Quick head. No lace. Aroma is a malty, almost metallic smel. Taste is like a sweet pale ale.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Tried in a restaurant adjoining the Dead Sea. Although the label claims that it is a dark lager it didn’t look that way to me. More like a standard Euro-Fizz lager. Nothing really wrong with it but nothing really interesting apart from the venue where it was drunk so I will always remember it.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle @ home courtesy of Homer321. Thanks Homey! Israel tick. Pours a clear burnt orange appearance with a thin off white head. Caramel, a bit skinny, cardboard aroma. A bit tangy, somewhat oxidized, papery, caramel flavor. Tastes like shit.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
12 oz. single purchased from Town Center Liquor Barn; Louisville. Aroma: Soggy corn puffs, sorghum. Appearance: Hazy light caramel pour with a thin layer of off-white head. Flavor: Pretty much the nose; sweet, corny cereal with a sorghum-like tang- really almost reminds me of an African lager; the finish adds some caramel, and is probably the most tolerable part of this beer. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: A pretty flawed beer, but not undrinkable if no other alternates present themselves. Israel, check.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Goldstar has a thick, creamy, slightly off-white head, a very clear, amber, bubbly appearance, with thin lacing left here and there on the sides of the glass. The aroma is of musty, old malts, some molasses, and turned fruit notes. Taste is of that as well, with essentially no bitterness, but with an overriding old sugar character. Mouthfeel is light to medium and fairly prickly, and Goldstar finishes semi-dry, refreshing, and easily drinkable. I would like to try a sample that I knew was fresh. Overall, I rate this one good, but odd. RJT

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear medium amber with a long-lasting frothy white head, cobwebs of lace. Taste is understated caramel malt that, while agreeable, isn’t enough to actually qualify as a "good" brew. There is minimal bittering in the finish to help balance. Very small beer.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, 4.9%. Metallic aroma. Clear amber colour. Very small white head. The flavour is papery and bready. Nutty finish, late aniseed feel, and low bitterness, other than that it might as well have been a pale lager. Not unpleasant, though.
