2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
500 ml can from Keir- thanks again, Keir! Another new country for me. Pours a clear gold with a finger of frothy white head. Notes of sweet and pale and crackery malts, straw, minerals, and apple skins. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a pretty smooth mouthfeel. Certainly not a ’dark lager,’ as promised on the label. But not a bad one.

Bottle, 330ml. Pours clear light brownish-amber with a short off white head. Aroma of sweet malt and a little hops. Mouth feel is medium thick body, and oily texture, medium-strong carbonation. Tastes quite dry with light hop bitterness and subtle sweetness, well balanced. Flavors of dry malt, roasted notes, slight smoke, some hops. Balanced, simple, dry and very drinkable. A very OK dark lager. 4/2/6/3/11

It’s pretty much my default beer, relatively cheap, and offers the minimum I look for in a beer

Bottle from Casablanca Brasserie 171014. Surprisingly this was quite good. Dark and malty and reminded me of Tooheys Old.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUL 23, 2015 Israelian Vienna lager with stable, sticky, off-white, creamy head and brownish copper colour, clear. Aroma dominated by caramel malts as expected, some oxidation, corn, butterscotch, some grassy hops. Caramel taste, sweetish, straightforward, bit metallic, smooth with a bit of herbal hop bitterishness in the finish. Boring as any industrial lager of course, but otherwise quite okay for its style.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A clear light red body with a small white head. Nose has malty and grassy notes. Taste is quite sweet and malty with a mild dry finish and a metallic note on the side. Carbonation is average and the mouthfeel is on the thin side. A nice simple beer that is easy to drink.

israel tick. when I first bought this I thought it was a scwartzbier. its was not, just some dinky vienna lager that pours exactly to stlye. amber pour, translucent, thick off white foam head.. nose is pretty much just toasted malt. taste follows, with balance, faint grass. body is light to medium.
