Can. Great packaging. The can has neat graphics and the resealble blob top makes this a nice item to put on your shelf. The beer itself was pretty average at best. Yellow, overcarbonated, with a moderate white head. Buy this for the can, not for the beer.

Clear yellowy appearance, heavily carbonated, moderate head formation. Funky fruity, herbal aroma. Sweet fruity aniseed/mint candy like flavor, sugar prevalent throughout. Spritzy carboantion provides some cut thrugh along with a graininess from the malt, but the bitterness is very light. The can says "imported German ale" and although that could be for legal/import reasons I wouldn’t call this a pilsner. Really I’m not sure where it fits in but it’s definitely better than what I thought it was going to be. I bought it for the can which is original for sure.

I was surprised with this beer. the depth of flavor was more than I expected, the aroma was malty with some woody undertones. Not a bad beer at all.

Head is initially large, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy light yellow, dense tiny and small particles. Aroma is moderately malty (grain, light bread), moderately yeasty (dough), moderately hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately bitter, lightly acidic. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Quite a shock...I’ve been passing up this kitschy can with the ridiculous name for years now, embarassed to be seen buying such a silly thing. But lo and behold, we have here a clean, very well-balanced, bitter yeasty Bavarian-style pils with a decent body. Despite all the yeast, not much acidity exists, much to my delight.
