Draft at Gollem. Poured clear golden with a dense white head. Aroma of citrus and soft malt. Medium body, flavour much as the aroma, medium sweet and lightly bitter.

Very good attempt from this small proeflokaal. A lot better that I would expect. Fije foam and classic ipa palate. The taste of hops and orange are the main.

On tap @ Gollem II, Amsterdam. Hazy yellow, white foamy head. Thin aroma, watery taste: citrus hoppy mainly. Fresh mouthfeel, medium-high carbonation, thin body.

Draught @ Bier- & Eetcafé Gollem, Antwerp. Pours slightly hazy light amber withstable off-white head. Clear aroma of C-hops, malt, and citrus. Bitter flavour of Citra and Amarillo hops, with intense notes of citrus and touches of malt and yeast. Lingering, bitter finish. Good.

Draught @ Proeflokaal Gollem. Aroma has hops, tropical fruits and some caramel. Flavour is hoppy withapricot, grapefruit and some gooseberry bush. Also some grassy hops occur at the middle of the glass. The hops start up aggressive but become mellow afterwards. Nice still.

Hazy blond. Hop aroma is bordering on being quite piney. Flavour is similarly green, piney. Only a light fruitiness. Strong, bitter finish.

On tap at Cafe Gollem, Amsterdam on 20th March 2014. Hazy gold with thin off-white film and part lacing. Cheesy, yeasty aroma with grapefruit. Lush tangy citrus grapefruit and tangerine in-mouth. Tangy finish, zingy mouthfeel and light body making for easy drinking.

On tap at Cafe Gollem, Amsterdam. Hazed gold with white head. This had a fruity, dry grapefruit twanginess, good depth and lots of follow through. There is a chunky maltiness. Certainly a very good beer for a house beer and seemingly very popular with the locals.

bartlebier (1631) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - JUN 3, 2014
Draught as Gollem IPA@Gollem A’pen, IV-2014, BE backlog. Quite pleasant, mellowed out and silk-yeasty Belgian IPA with a solid pale malt backbone imparting extra fruitiness on top of a decent fruit basket of mango, pineapple, lemon marmelade hop notes. A certain chalkiness hampering clear and clean expression of its full aroma potential. A more sessionable and accessible version of mighty Troubadour Magma, it seems.
