In the only place where they serve it at Gollem pub in Antwerp-Belgium, on tap. Pours a completely hazy (mmm) pale golden colour close to yellow, big white cap. Nose: good result of notes from the dry hopping, including floral character and citrusy accent. Mouth: not that much of bitterness, grainy. More than ok for a Belgian IPA.

On draft at Gollem.
Gorgeous pour: hazy, yellow-gold body summons silky white head which drenches my glass in sticky lace.
Freshly hopped with a nice, slightly viscous body. More citric than bitter, but certainly not a juice bomb. Mildly spicy at the end. Totally solid IPA, esp for a European brewery.

Tasted from tap at De Gollem, the new beer pub at Suikerrui in Antwerp, where one of the bartenders was generous enough to offer me and my friends a small glass for tasting. Cloudy ochre blonde beer with thick and dense, snow white head leaving considerable lacing. Pleasant aroma of apricot, honey, grassy and grapefruity hops, hemp, vermouth, redcurrant, parsley, sour cream and undisturbing iron. Soft fruity onset, a bit appley and peachy, yeasty, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, flowery with a long, spicy yet not too ’biting’, dry and elegant hoppiness. Subdued IPA, i.e. in the old, original British style, a particular style of beer I could drink the whole afternoon.
