Mug at the brewery in Drosendorf. Yellow and unfiltered with a white head. Nose of fruity lemon and sweet cracker-pils malt and some sweet dough. Flavor is wet and oily, medium to full bodies, with a light hoppy bite and light crispness in the finish, but generally it stays oily, wet, and semi-tart throughout the drink.

Tap, at the brewpub. Jan 2005. Hazy Gold, Good white head and moderate condition. Pleasantly hoppy aroma with a background of sulphur, but less obvious than the in the Dunkle. Solid and well balanced malt and hops in the mouth and a long lingering pilsner hoppy finish. By far the best of their beers that I tried.

Bottle, bought at the brewery. Label says brewed by Göller in Zeil am Main. Is this tiny brewery with the big beer garden still brewing? Does it only brew a bit of tap beer for its own premises (see rating Ohmper)? Malty aroma, with peach and a hint of boiled milk. Malty flavor: clearly hopbitter with hay and vanilla. Rather thin, especially for a Franconian pilsener. Hopbitter and hay aftertaste.
