Keg at the Little Pub - Hamilton College, Clinton, NY. Pours mostly clear gold with a foamy white head. Solid beer. Clean, with nice citrus pith, restrained bitterness, balanced pale malt sweetness. Slight bitter hay. Good notes of tangerine and grapefruit pith. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Clean and lightly drying on the finish with further pithy citrus character. Good one.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy pineapple yellow color, with a big-ass pouf of white head.
The aroma is beautiful pineapple and tangerine hops; spicy citrus all around. The rye malt is absolutely apparent, so much so that I would have called it even if it weren’t in the name. Wonderful nose.
Flavors are more malt-forward: spicy grains, with more citrus on the back of the tongue. There is a real woody, graininess in the malt, with a lot of tongue-busting spice. But the end sweetness smooths it all over.
A grainy, rough beer with a heart of gold.

Mild but pleasant citrus in the aroma. Poured a hazy golden color. Tastes very clean with a prominent bitterness and a balanced hop flavor. I enjoyed my glass of it but probably won't be seeking out another bottle.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with light floral hops, resinous character, nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light catty notes, light buttery notes, OK. On tap at skewed Brewing.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Location: Sampled at TapNY, 4/26/14
Aroma: The aroma is pine/resin, citrus hops, and a good amount of rye malts
Appearance: It pours a murky orange color with an off-white head and some average lacework
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, with some pine/resin hops to go along with the rye malts
Palate: This one has a nice mouthfeel, an average carbonation, and a somewhat dry finish
Good Nature really impressed me in general, and this beer in particular was one of the better beers I got to try at TapNY.

3.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Light golden pour with and incredibly thick fluffy head that leaves a decent amount of lacing. Aromas of the rye with citrus and sweet notes. Strong rye flavors with the citrus undertones, leaves a little of the rye in the aftertaste but very smooth beer. And excellent rye beer without a doubt.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: A medium-hoppy golden IPA with a strong rye presence. I liked it.
How: Tap at Tap-NY festival 2013.
The look: Mostly clear golden-blonde body topped by a medium off - white head with good retention.
In long: Nose is as much rye as it is hops. A medium body, medium carbonation and with a slightly doughy texture. Taste is chewy rye with a medium hops presence that is fruity and grassy. Again far from a hop bomb, the rye is very present in this beer. This is an IPA for the rye beer lover, nourishing but also refreshing. I like rye beers. Funny name, and if there is really a rabbit swimming in their rye pale ale, it must be all like “meh, I really don’t care what’s up doc”.
