COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This deep colored American Brown Ale is often requested and one of our personal favorites. Many a weekend was spent perfecting this one. Brewed with 2 - row pale and 5 specialty malts, its malty in both flavor and smell. A heap of Cascade and Willamette add to balance this easy drinking ale. Hole up, have a few, and tell us what you think. We’re bettings it’s the best American Brown Ale you’ll ever have.

Can, from an IP trade in Londinium, split at Colin and the Vikings tasting, Nol, Goteborg, Sweden 22/03/14. Dark amber with a good sized light beige head that soon dissipates to spotting and edgework. Nose is toffee, biscuit malt, dark fruit tang, light hop notes. Taste comprises toffee, biscuit, brown sugars, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Pretty basic affair, not much doing, another boring brown beer!

Can courtesy of Theydon_Bois. Alabama tick, yey! pours hazy reddish brown with a rather small brownish beige head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and slightly malty with dark bread, cereal, red apples, hay and soil. Mouthfeel is soft, round and light to medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with dark bread, red apples, hay and lemon zest. It’s an Alabama tick, yey!

Pours a slightly dark brown and leaves the same colored body with a slim one finger white foamy head that dies within about a minute, some nice foamy lacing graces the sides of the glass in a clingy sort of fashion; the aroma is nutty, malty, slight caramel all combined nicely and coming forth strong and sweet; the flavoring is mainly nutty and sweet; slightly nutty/caramel malty aftertaste and a dry sort of nutty finish; its fairly easy on the palate for a Brown Ale but still packs a slightly heaviness to sit just right on a Winter’s night; overall, definitely would trade for this again

FROM NOTES: August 9, ’23 Poured from a 12 ounce can into a shaker pint glass. A: Chocolate malt, a bit of coffee, nutty malts, and a bit of peat as well. A: Pours a dark, murky brown with a two-fingers off-white head that dissipates slowly leaving a slight lacing. T: Malty, nutty, bready, much like the smell with hints of caramel and chocolate with a touch of hops at the finish. Nicely balanced. P: Carbonation over-load! But after the carbonation bomb settles down, is quite smooth, almost creamy O: The nose is very promising, but the taste is slightly disappointing. The sweetness went away and it was just an average brown.
